Dr. Tim Blegen joined Northwestern Children’s Practice in July 2014. He is a board certified pediatrician who graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and New York Medical College. He completed his pediatric training at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition, Dr Blegen teaches future physicians in his role as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Northwestern University School of Medicine. His interests include patient-physician communication, adolescent health, healthy eating, and encouraging active lifestyles.

Dr. Blegen is originally from Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts. He now lives in Chicago with his wife and daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his bike, rock climbing, reading books to his daughter, and gardening. Although he is still a die-hard Boston sports fan, Dr. Blegen has adopted the Cubs as his National League team.
